On The Road To Colorado Springs

This was our view on the road today going from Fruita, Co. to Colorado Springs.
WHAT A VIEW!!
Most of the pictures are taken around Avon, Co. and Vail, Co. The hillside's were covered with the turning of the leaves.
It was a long drive today. I don't like to drive more than 300 miles a day but John wanted to get to Colorado Springs today. WE ARE HERE.
We will stay in Colorado Springs for 4 days and nights and then head for Kansas.
We were on I-70 going east toward
Denver. The mountains were tough
but I'm glad we came this way.

Colorado National Monument

John and I went out to explore Fruita, Co. today. Not very far from our RV Park (between Fruita, Co. and Grand Junction, Co.) we discovered Colorado National Monument. What a site.

We decided to drive around it. We entranced on the west side at Fruita and departed the east end at Grand Junction. This is something to see, but once is enough for me. You could only drive 15 to 20 miles an hours (that was too fast for me). Took us a little over 2 hours. It had all kind of view points and the last one was called "cold shivers point". I took most of the pictures but John had to take the one's that were straight down. It also had trail's running through it. This place is AWESOME!!

We're Still On The Road!

All these pictures are taken on the road in Utah.

We made it to Colorado tonight.......we are just into Colorado........Fruita, CO.
We were 2 days driving in Utah.
When leaving Nevada we went I-80 to Salt Lake City then took I-15 South to Scipio and cut across on Scenic 50 (I do mean scenic) to Salina, Utah where we picked up I-70 into Colorado.
I love our trip to Tahoe, it always brings us back into all these beautiful states with all these beautiful mountains.

John and I are enjoying this beautiful country God has created for

all of us.

We will stay in Fruita, Colorado for a couple of days and check it out then on to Colorado Springs for a few days.
It's been 4 days and "No" Casino's! John said he is having withdrawal.........................He'll survive!!!!!!
We are having a great time!
