Grand Teton Nat'l Park/Yellowstone Nat'l Park/July 2008

Yellowstone established as the world's first Nat'l Park in 1872.
We entered Yellowstone on 191. Lots of stream's run beside the road in Yellowstone Nat'l Park and many wildflower's in Yellowstone.
These pictures were entering Yellowstone.
More about Yellowstone coming.

We entered Grand Teton Nat'l Park before entering Yellowstone Nat'l Park. We went 191 from south to north. All of these pictures are of the Grand Teton's.

We took 25 North out of Colorado into Cheyenne, Wy. From Cheyenne we picked up 80 West to Highway 191 (scenic route) John's not wild about driving the RV on Hwy's like 191. " I love it. " when I'm in the car and not the RV.
There were lots of stream's along the highway.
These pictures were leaving Colorado and along highway 80 West.

Estes Park and Rocky Mountains/July 2008

We had a great time at Estes Park. From there we went to Cheyenne, Wy. and took 80 West to 191 going north to Jackson and on into Yellowstone Nat'l Park from the south end.

All these pictures are of Estes Park and Rocky Mtns.

This is the trip we took in July of this year to Estes Park, Yellowstone into Oregon and Washington. First we went through Arkansas City, Ks. to pick up Cody, our grandson and his girlfriend, Kelsey. John, Cody, Kelsey and I left on July 18 and headed for Estes Park, Co.

It took 2 days of driving ( I don't like to drive more than 300 miles a day) we stayed the first night at Burlington, Co. just barely into Colorado and drove on to Estes Park the next day.

In Kansas

To all following our blog, we are back in Kansas visiting John's oldest sister, Pat, and her family in Garden City, having a good visit and is nice to see all of them again.
We will be leaving here, Sunday morning, for Wichita. Donna's dad has doctor appointments.
Then we will head back to Texas.

When we get to Wichita, I will be putting our trip to Estes Park, Yellowstone, Oregon and Washington State in the blog. We took this trip in July of this year.

Thanks for following us on our adventures. Still loving the RV life.

Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs

These 3 pictures are at Manitou Springs, located at the foot of Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs is surrounded by more attractions than any other region in the state!

This is our last day here at Colorado Springs. We went to Garden of the Gods and seen some more beautiful country. All of the rest of the pictures are at Garden of the Gods. We have seen lots of beautiful country from Nevada, Utah to Colorado on our way back from Tahoe.

We are headed for Kansas tomorrow.....we are stopping in Garden City to see our oldest sister, Pat. We will go to Wichita for dentist and doctor appointments for Donna's dad before going back to Texas. We love RVing and seeing all this beautiful country God has given us, but it will be nice to get back to Texas for awhile. We have been gone from Texas since August 26th.

Still In Colorado Springs

We made it to Colorado Springs Saturday evening. The weather has been beautiful. We went to Seven Falls on Sunday but John couldn't climb the falls because of his breathing and I couldn't climb because of my height sickness so we turned around and went back to the park.

The RV Park we are staying in is just across the highway from "Old Colorado City" so we went there for breakfast and I shopped for 2 or 3 hours.

Tomorrow we will try for Garden of the Gods, don't think we have any climbing to do there. We will pass on Pikes Peak also. I think I have been up in the air (mountains) enough for awhile.

The pictures are of "Old Colorado Springs".
