Leaving New Jersey/New York!

Today we left New Jersey heading back to Texas. We had a great time visiting with Cody (grandson) and getting to see some of Brooklyn and Manhattan, New York.
I was a little disappointed we didn't get to go closer to the Statue of Liberty.
We did see it many times from the Promenade on the Brooklyn side.
On Saturday when we went over to Manhattan to get a taxi boat to ride out to see it, they were sold out.
Then on Monday when we went back to Brooklyn to see Cody and visit before leaving.....Cody and I walked down the Promenade all the way to the end and guess what?........we could have got one there but with Monday being Columbus Day (holiday)........... it was closed.

It was a "great" experience and a little overwhelming.

Tonight we are back in Kutztown, Pennsylvania at a very nice RV
Park. There is a Winery here called Pinnacle Ridge so after going
to eat we stopped by to check it out and got a couple bottles of wine.

Beautiful Country.......................

This is the grape vines............The grapes are grown here, they

process the wine here and bottle it here.

Inside you can see where they store the wine in the wooden barrels. They have won many ribbons and metals.

Pennsylvania Table Wine

These are the two different ones I got.

The one with the red rose is called Sweet

Seduction. A moderately sweet red wine

made entirely from Chambourcin grapes

The other one is called Vidal Blanc made

entirely from Vidal Blanc grapes grown

at Round Ridge Farms in Pennsylvania

You are probable wonering who this guy is that Grandpa & I are holding. His name is Flat

Stanley! He came to visit with us from

Ceci's (granddaughter) 2nd grade class at Summit Pointe Elementary School in Kansas City, Mo.
Flat Stanley's goal is to visit as many

of the 50 states as possible. He arrived just before our trip to N.Y.

so he has visited many states with us.
We have enjoyed having Flat Stanley ride along with us.
