Still On The Road!

We did mostly driving today across Nevada. Tonight we are at the border of Nevada/Utah...........West Wendover, NV. We are back in mountain time tonight so we lost an hour today. We will cross the Great Salt Lake Desert tomorrow on our way to Salt Lake City.

Still pretty country but not like Tahoe.

The mountain pictures are at mile marker 337 on I-80 East just before Wells, Nevada.

Once we reach Colorado Springs we will stay there a few days.

On The Road Again

We are back on the road. We left Tahoe this morning and I was sad. Tahoe is soooooo beautiful.

We had a good time in Reno but we had a great time in Tahoe.

We are in Winnemucca, Nevada tonight at the Model-T Casino Hotel-RV-Resort. Oh no!!!

Another casino, I may have to lock John in the RV tonight.

Back to Reno

We are leaving Tahoe tomorrow, Monday, and will head back to Reno. We have had a wonderful time at Tahoe and enjoyed spending time with our son, Rick, daughter, CJ and grandson, Cotton.

We have been at Tahoe for 5 days and 5 nights and I am sad we have to leave, but we "Will" be back.

We stayed at Elko, NV for 4 days and 4 nights and Reno for 4 days and 4 nights before going to Tahoe. John loved the casino's and I loved the shopping. After 8 days of casino's in Reno & Elko he was still going strong in Tahoe. At the Black Jack video table he did finally win. I am new at this blogging so please bear with me.

There were only 20 running in the 72 mile race. Cotton said this was the first time he had ever run when it was pitch dark with only the stars for light. He did have a head light but the battery kept going down on it.
He did "great"......51 miles in 10 hours/18 minutes........11 to 12 min. miles. This was his goal!!
He qualified for Western States 100 mile race.
We are very proud of him and all of his accomplishments.

The race is on!

Cotton ( our grandson ) started the 72 mile marathon at Tahoe at midnight last night. John and I did not go to the start line with him but we will be at the finish line for him.

His mother (CJ) and dad (Rick) are driving and stopping at points to see if he needs water or anything to drink and make sure he is doing OK. He is very strong minded and willed so he will do good.

Marathoning in Tahoe
