What A Great Day!

What a "GREAT" day we had yesterday...Saturday, March 28th.

Our oldest daughter (C.J.) and her husband (Rick) came in from Allen, Texas to run in Austin's Capital 10K run today. They came out to Mary's (our second) daughter's house for dinner. John Dale (our oldest son) was also there.

We had a "great" visit and "wonderful" day with all of them. It was a beautiful sun shining day.....
perfect spring day.
It was a little cooler this morning for the run. 40 Degrees.

Theresa (granddaughter) her husband (Tony) and their son (Christian) came for three days to visit with Theresa's parents and sister and with John and me.
With all that was happening with the RV I wasn't sure we were
going to get much visiting in. But as it turned out we finally enjoyed some time with them.
Christian is our 2nd great-grandson and our 5th great-grandchild.
We have a total of 7 great-grandchildren now. 3 Boys and 4 Girls. We Love, Love, Love them all.

Back In Jonestown ((With The RV))

We are back in Jonestown, Tx. after picking up the RV.
Oh No!! Here we go again.......Got the RV parked and leveling system down, the sides out and turned it off. John went out to hook up to electric.........and the fun began. Nothing would work, couldn't even get the generator to come on.
The next morning John called a Fleetwood dealer in Boerne and they told him they would need to look at it so at 10:30 a.m. we left to drive to Boerne, Texas. The guy John had talked to was at lunch so we waited for him to get back. In the mean time another guy came out and ask us what the problem was and we told him. He got in and started the generator right up.
WE WERE IN SHOCK!! Everything came on just fine. The other guy came back from lunch and John ask him if we could hook it up to the 50 AMP to make sure it would still run ok off the electricity. So we stayed another hour and half running it plugged in. Everything seemed to be just fine. BACK TO JONESTOWN......it was around 6:30 p.m. Set it up again.......turned the RV off and John went out and pulled it in. NOTHING............At this point I am saying SELL IT.
John got in and was able to get the generator started. John and I spent the night in the RV and Donna's dad was still in Mary's (our daughter) house.
John was thinking maybe it was the leveling system because in Boerne they didn't put the levelers down. We were getting ready to pull in the sides and bring up the levelers when this nice man came to the door and ask us if we were having an electrical problem. We said yes. He went over to where we plug the RV into. There is this really nice water fountain right by it to hide the post that the electric is on.
Yes, you guessed it, the water fountain is getting moved. Sorry, Mary!!

Back in Jonestown, Texas ((Without the RV))

To our followers:
We got back to Alvarado, Tx. on our scheduled date of March 9th. This did not go so well.
Monday morning we made 2 calls to the service department and also went down to talk to the guy that had scheduled the appointment. He was busy so we went to breakfast and left our names and cell numbers for him to call us. By noon he still had not called so we went on down to get a motel. He had told us we would have to stay in a motel for 2 or 3 days while they worked on the RV. We fixed Donna's dads lunch and got him settled in for the afternoon. We went back to the dealer to talk to the service person and finally did get to talk to him.
WE WERE NOT HAPPY CAMPERS!! after talking to him. He told us the door was not in yet, very upset over this as we had rented a room for 2 nights. (If only he would have taken a minute to call us back that morning). We stayed in the motel for the two nights and still no door so we headed back to Jonestown in the car.
John called the dealer on Saturday morning to check and see if the door had gotten in yet.
The service department does not work on Saturdays. John left a very convincing message for them to call us first thing Monday morning.
John had an appointment at 1:00 that afternoon for a stress test so by 10 on Monday morning when the service department hadn't called John called them "again". He was told that the door should be there by noon that day, it was on a truck in Memphis on Friday. They would call him as soon as it came in. By 12:45......no call..... so John called them "again". Yes the door had made it in and they were starting work on it. John is hoping to pick the RV up today. We will see.......
was told it would only take 2 to 3 days to work on it........I'm hoping we can get it by no later than Thursday, March 19th....... and YES 2009.

Leaving Kansas Returning to Texas

To all our followers. We keep I35 between Kansas and Texas wore out. We have been in Kansas for a week and now on our way back to Texas.
We seen some friends and family (not all) and Donnas dad had 2 doctor appointments while we were in Kansas. Had a nice time, was a fast trip.
We are to be at Alvarado, Texas on Monday, March 9th to have a storage door fixed and a few bugs worked out of our new RV.
As you may remember when we were on our way back from Florida with the new RV we got
caught in a rain storm in Mississippi. John hit a pole in the RV Park we were trying to get into that night. "ALL IS FORGIVEN"
Not sure yet when or where the next adventure is.

KEEP CHECKING!!!
