Estes Park Brewery & Winery!!

We decided to go back into Estes Park today and check out the Estes Park Brewery & Winery.

It was a beautiful day and just perfect with the temperature in the mid 70's.

Colorado has many breweries, but only one in Estes Park known as the brewpub.
Colorado is home to the second most breweries per capita in the United States. Colorado has a
long history of brewing. The first brewery, Rocky Mountain Brewery, was founded in 1859.

Boulder is home to seven microbreweries, offering a vast choice of award-winning brews.
Golden is the home of two small breweries and Molson Coors
Brewing Company, the third largest brewer in the U.S. At 130
years old, Coors is housed in its original location along the banks of Clear Creek.
Fort Collins is home to brewing giant Anheuser-Busch and many
others. Greeley is also home to Crabtree Brewing Co. and Pitchers Brewery,
Loveland, Lyons & Longmont also have Brewing Companies.
Last but not least is Idaho Springs.

With over 50 breweries located across the state of Colorado you can understand why they call it
the "NAPA VALLEY OF BEER"!!

After visiting the Estes Park Brewery we went over to the Valley of the Wind Winery.
Oh! by the way we did have lunch before going to the winery.
John is not much of a wine drinker so I did all the tasting of the wine. I did buy one bottle,
called "Riesling". Is a soft fruity wine. All of their wine is bottled in Loveland, Colorado.

This is the Big Thompson River
that runs through Estes Park.
This part of the river ran right next
to the Winery. It was beautiful, they
had chairs for you to set and drink a
glass of wine if you wanted to.

These 3 pictures were taken of a little park across from the winery & close to where we parked.

These pictures were taken on our way back from Estes Park to Loveland. There were some
stairs that you could go down next to the river "Big Thompson River" and walk out on a
boardwalk to get closer. We had seen them many times but didn't have time to stop or would
miss them coming and going. Made it this time!!

The dam of The Big Thompson River.

These pictures going into Estes.......just wanted to show you again how beautiful
the mountains are.

If you click on this picture and make it bigger you can see the
billygoat behind the brush......this was on our way back into
Estes Park and the part where you go through the canyon.

These 2 pictures are taken from 34
highway in Loveland......see how
far away the mountains look??
We were only 30 miles from the
RV Park to Estes Park. You can
still see the mountains in Loveland
BUT it just isn't the same as being
up close to them.

This is my # 2 best place.
Tahoe still being #1
GOD IS GOOD!!
